Located on the tourist beach of Guachalito, 45 minutes by boat from Nuquí, the eco-lodge allows travelers the chance to live unforgettable experiences such as humpback whale watching, hiking in the jungle, enjoying hot springs, visiting the Utria cove of and tours to local communities.
We have 4 small cabins that mix design and bioclimatic architecture, all with ocean views and designed for those who seek the beauty of the simple. Solar panels generate electric power and the water from the jungle reaches the eco-lodge through gravity aqueduct. Each cabin has a room with a double bed, private bathroom with open-air shower, private terrace and access to the beach. Forget about mass tourism, the eco-lodge has a maximum capacity of 8 in double accommodation or 12 in triple.
The restaurant has a large dining room where the best dishes from the local gastronomy are served, prepared by Nuquiseña women who use fruits, herbs and vegetables that have been grown in the garden.

Thermals
The geology of the Serranía del Baudó allowed small springs of hot springs to be found in Nuquí. The most famous of them is located in the small town of Termales, 1 hour walk along the beach.
In the thermal water basin two small swimming pools were built, ideal for enjoyment and relaxation. Next to the hot springs is a small creek surrounded by thick vegetation, in which you can also take a dip.
The cost of entering the thermal center is COP 12,000 pesos per person. If you want to enjoy more privacy, we recommend you visit it between 8 and 11 am or after 3 pm.
Trekking
Nuquí is an ideal destination to appreciate some of the world’s most bio diverse ecosystems: the tropical rainforest, the mangrove forest and the coral reefs.
The waterfall of Love is a perfect walk for everyone, it is easily accessible and offers the possibility to enjoy the refreshing waters of the jungle in a quiet natural environment.
For experienced and hiking lovers the best option is the visit to the waterfalls of Cuatro Encantos, in Termales, it is a 4-hour jungle tour to discover four imposing waterfalls formed by the Terco River, during the tour is also possible to see the famous poisonous frogs, birds, monkeys and other species.
Another of our recommended plans is the walk to visit the town of Joví and make the chingo tour of the river that gives name to the village, appreciate its beautiful Pichindé trees that form natural tunnels and enjoy a waterfall in the middle of the jungle.
Diving, surfing and sports fishing
For lovers of the sport of the waves Nuquí is an ideal destination. No matter if you are not a Surf expert, you can also take classes and venture to enjoy the sea! Rent your board and enjoy this paradise in the Pacific.
Immerse yourself in the waters to appreciate the marine life in all its splendor. Coral reefs and schools of fish, are some of the natural treasures that you can appreciate in places like Cabo Corrientes and other coastal scenarios.
Sport fishing is done in the Gulf of Tribugá, in a responsible manner and with all the necessary tools to enjoy a great day. Tunas, braves and snappers are some of the species that you can fish and then release.

From June to October of each year hundreds of humpback whales arrive to the Chocó Pacific coast to reproduce and give birth to their young in our warm waters, swimming more than 8 thousand km from Patagonia and Antarctica. With their jumps, kicks and loins they provide one of the most beautiful shows of nature.
With caution the boats sail the sea in search of these marine giants, be patient, it is a natural phenomenon.
During the sighting trips, which generally last 2 hours, sometimes very active whales are found and some other times in the distance you will only see their loins just before diving. The use of binocular facilitates the sighting of cetaceans.
RESERVATION: Once confirmed the availability for the dates you want to visit, you must pay 50% of the total reservation and the remaining 50% no later than 10 days before the trip.

Cancellation policies
- If you cancel within 30 days of providing the service, the amount paid or paid will be returned, except COP 25,000 per person corresponding to administrative and bank costs.
- If you cancel your reservation between 30 and 15 days before the service is provided, a penalty of 40% of the amount paid will be charged. If canceled between 14 and 10 days, 50% of the amount paid will be charged.
- If you cancel between 9 and 1 day before, it will be penalized with 60% of the total value of the reservation.
- If you do not cancel your reservation or do not show up on the day of the service, there will be no money back, nor a refund once the trip has begun.
- The Bayka will have 15 business days to make the corresponding refund and will be made by bank transfer.
Other clarifications
- We are not responsible for the cancellation, change or flights delays that prevent your on time arrival or departure from Nuquí.
- Nuquí and the hotel do not accept payments by check, credit or debit cards or any other means of payment other than cash.
- It’s recommended by the Ministry of Health, to have the Yellow Fever vaccine in force. The airport authorities can ask for your vaccination card.
- Always carry your identification document at hand and protected from rain or moisture, you will need it on your trip.
