Potrerillos
60 km from the city center and 15 km from the Mendoza wine routes. Potrerillos is the strategic center to relax and get to know the mountain circuit. Location of the accommodation, gastronomy and nature reserves, and Vallecitos ski shops, is the starting point for climbers. For those seeking high doses of adrenaline, adventure activities are offered – rafting, trekking, abseiling, mountain biking, horseback riding, canoeing, rock climbing, and hydro speed. The dam is open for water sports such as windsurfing, sailing, kayaking and also for lovers of fishing. We find in the new city of Potrerillos the Archaeological Museum, with remains of ancient indigenous cultures. The Public Library, the Armando Tejada Gómez Cultural Center and regional artisans.
Uspallata
Mountain town located in the Cordillera. It was an important axis of the liberating army of the Andes, and currently it is a distinctive feature that includes in its proposal the exciting petrified forest with Araucaria, Bóvedas, a colonial stone bridge over the Picheuta river, the Villavicencio Natural Reserve, the fascinating Cerro 7 Colores, the Caves of the town limits and the monument known as the Christ the Redeemer.
Penitentes (Penitents)
Ski center located just 180 km from Mendoza. The quality of the snow is excellent on each of the tracks that make up the route. The place was named because of the unique rock formations that seem to represent the monks and can be seen on the southern slope of the valley. The Penitentes ski center currently has more than 300 hectares to practice this sport, spread over 20 slopes with different degrees of difficulty for all types of skiers, whether professional, advanced or beginner. Added to this is the first-class hotel infrastructure, which includes everything from hostels to 4-star hotels, all located at the foot of the mountain. A perfect gift to enjoy the snow in Mendoza.
Puente del Inca (Inca Bridge)
Mystical and dazzling, the famous Puente del Inca has a history full of legends to explain its strange formation. A curious geological formation is suspended 27 m above the stalactite caves that hang from the river, its needle-like ice and yellow landscape is impressive due to the continued perception of sulfur. Under the natural bridge, a majestic construction protects small pools with mineralized water and high therapeutic value. The Inca Bridge is considered to have been named after frequent visits by the Indians who brought this culture, attracted by the healing properties of its waters. A luxury hotel was built in the area, which was almost completely destroyed by the floods that affected the region in 1965. At its peak, the hotel was home to important people who came to enjoy the hot springs, but now it attracts a large numbers of tourists in the footsteps of their past.
Aconcagua

Las Leñas
Las Leñas, is one of the most important ski and snowboard centers in Argentina, it is located in the homonymous valley to the south of the Mendoza province in the northwest of the Malargüe department, and in the interior of the Andes mountain range. It has 14 lifts, which allow access to 29 ski and snowboard slopes classified as beginners, intermediate, advanced and experts.
- Skiable area is about 65 km.
- It has the longest uninterrupted descent in the country, with 7,050 m connecting the Apollo, Neptune and Venus tracks.
- There is a 1,500 m “Terrain Park” with jumps, cant and rails, a place chosen by snowboarders.
- Night skiing: Some slopes (a total of 2,000 m) are illuminated to allow night skiing.
- The base is at 2,240 m.a.s.l and the summit at 3,430 m.a.s.l, making it the highest ski center in Argentina.
- Snow quality: Dry powder.
- The average annual snowfall is 6 m at the base, 8 m at the intermediate level and 10 m at the top.
